Kathy previously worked as a carpenter and vocational instructor and has an undergraduate degree in Occupational Education. She earned a graduate degree in Rehabilitation in 1985, and underwent examination for national certification by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC). She was invited to be in the first group of nationally certified case managers (CCM) in 1993. She prepares Life Care Plans for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries and/or who have long-term care needs due to chronic conditions. She was board certified as a Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate by the American Board of Disability Analysts ABDA) in 2003. She consulted with both plaintiff and defense attorneys and has particular interest in neutral “agreed exams” and mediation. (click to review CV). Kathy has served on, and done case management for, Special Needs Trusts (SNT) and Trust Advisory Committees (TAC) which provided her opportunities for direct experience with the lives of beneficiaries after litigation. She also does occasional pro bono work for people with disabilities and other challenges.
In her non-work time, Kathy volunteered for ROOTS Young Adult Shelter, both direct service in the shelter and on the board of directors, and served on the boards of the Pacific Northwest Neuropsychological Society (PNNS) and Seabeck Conference Center. She enjoys her rescue animals, traveling to visit her children and
grandchildren and reading murder mysteries and true crime.
In 2018, Kathy transitioned to semi-retirement and is no longer accepting new cases.
